Horizontal Laminar Flow Cabinets and Vertical Laminar Flow Hoods

Laminar flow hoods are used in a variety of industries – from laboratories to medical equipment facilities and beyond. They provide a safe, energy-efficient, contamination-free environment that is ideal for applications sensitive to particulates.

Common Laminar Flow Hood Applications

Though laminar flow hoods come in various styles, they all rely on either vertical or horizontal laminar airflow. Horizontal laminar flow cabinets move airflow through the work zone, parallel to the worksurface, before exhausting out the front of the cabinet, while in vertical laminar flow hoods air moves down vertically, striking the work surface before exhausting via the cabinet front. Horizontal laminar flow hoods are most commonly used for applications with smaller pieces of equipment on the work surface as large equipment can cause turbulence. Vertical laminar flow cabinets, however, can accommodate larger equipment.

Air Science® laminar flow cabinets are built to exacting standards and help laboratories worldwide minimize contamination in a variety of applications. Our laminar flow hood includes Purair FLOW Laminar Flow Cabinets, Purair LF Series, Horizontal Laminar Flow Cabinets, Purair LF Series, Vertical Laminar Flow Cabinets and Purair PCR Laminar Flow Cabinets.

Our Laminar Flow Hood product line relies on Air Science Multiplex™ HEPA/ULPA Filtration Technology for a clean work environment over a wide range of applications.
